Data for Reports

Does a Report (built with Actuate BIRT Report Designer) need to remain connected to the data source to run it and view data? If Yes, when I installed iServer Express and ran a sample report, where did it get the data from? If No, does it (the report) store data in itself?

Hi rahulkjha,
What do you mean by remain connected to the dataSource? When you built the report, did you not set up the jdbc connection information?
