Conditional Drill Through

I was wondering if someone could help me. I have a report that lists data in a table. It displays three different types of event, Inpatient, Outpatient and A&E with a number of event dates.

I.e.

Inpatient 01/01/09
Inpatient 02/01/09
Outpatient 03/01/09
A&E 03/01/09
Outpatient 05/01/09
Inpatient 06/01/09

I have the dataset and it is spot on and the table is fine with everything in chronological order. I want to click on an event date and drill through to one of three reports depending upon the type, i.e. Inpatient, Outpatient and A&E. THe date will then filter the report and will show more details.

For example, if i click on the first row i will drill through the inpatient report, the third the outpatient report etc. All three reports are produced and working seperately.

I have seen the example but i cannot get it to work, it alwatys brings up the inpatient report and it has the parameters displayed and i have to click finish. It also passes the date in a weird format so wont filter the data.

I am using this code on the event date to hyperlink

I have a sample on the Dev Share that does just what you are looking for. Have a look. Let me know if you need some help tuning your specific implmentation.

I have indeed modified the example you used and the code is here:

When i drill it only drills to the Inpatient report "APC_Patient_Report.rptdesign" regardless if i click on Inpatient or AE report. Also, i can see the parameters are being passed as i get a prompt with them in, only issue being i dont want to be promted, i want it to be seamless and the EventDate is passed weird, very long date instead of dd/mm/yyyy

Where is the scripting logic to set the target report name?

Can you post the report design so I can have a look?

I think I see the issue. Instead of evaluating the value of the column (to determine what report to drill to) you were doing an assignment. Make the change below and give it another go. 
 
Change:

Wow, that works an absoulte treat and is fantastic. Thank you very much. I have one more question though,

i have a third report called Outpatient.rptdesign. How do i add if the Type = Outpatient then launch outpatient report.

So

Type = Inpatient then lauch Inpatient Report
Type = A&E then launch A&E report
Type = Outpatient then launch Outpatient Report

If you have more than two target reports you can simply remove the tenary operation and switch to an if/else if/else construct. 
 
Here is the original code determining the report name:

</pre>
 
You can change it to this to add more targets: 
 
<pre class='_prettyXprint _lang-auto _linenums:0'>
if (row["Type"] == "Inpatient")
sRptName = "APC_Patient_Report.rptdesign";
else if (row["Type"] == "A&E")
sRptName = "A&E_Report.rptdesign";
else if (row["Type"] == "Outpatient")
sRptName = "Outpatient_Report.rptdesign";
else
// Handle and unexpected value for row["Type"]
</pre>
 
Notice here that you have to be a bit more careful because there is more than one option, arrived at conditionally. You need to decide how to handle that last else which is only hit if the Type field does not have an expected value. I would imagine you would just choose one of the three reports to load by default OR load an error report stating there was unexpected data encountered.
