Removing space between Master Page header and layout
mmah
Hi all,
Each time when I preview my report in PDF / HTML format, I always noticed of a space between the report header (title, page number) and the layout. I find that it is better if the space between the header and layout is removed. However, I am not sure whether if there is a command or where to look to remove that space.
Can someone help on this? Thanks...

Hi mmah,
Can you attach screenshots of this space? Or even better a report design made with the sample database that shows it? Thanks.

Hi Michael,
Screenshot attachment along with this reply.
The space I'm referring to is the gap between the header (Report title, run date) and the layout (Document number, sub account number, etc..).
Thank you.

Melvin,
You're talking about the space between the "Date" box and the "Account Reference" box? So, you're putting the header information into the Master Page header rather than in the table header?

Hi Michael,
As per your question, yes we place our report main header info in the master page. At least we will have something to show even if the dataset for this report returns no results.
Just to clarify, the area (as in the red box highlighted in the attachment) represents the gap between header and layout. It is the area that I would like to have it eliminated.

Hi,
I am also looking for the solution foe removing gap between Header or Footer and Body.
Are you able to find any solution?

If you size the header to the same size as the grid that you have in the header, you shouldn't have a space. I have tested this and if I make the grid in the header the same size as the header, I don't have a space. You might double check that and if you're still having an issue, if you could recreate the issue with a simple report that uses the sample database, I might be able to help further.
