Help! Teamsite 5.5.2 service packs & Win2k SP3?!?

when trying to install the service packs for Teamsite 5.5.2 on our server (windows2000 sp3) we are fine until after teamsite templating 5.5.2 sp2. we get the following error when logging into teamsite:

"The Interwoven Web Daemon was unable to contact the Interwoven Servlet Engine. The Interwoven Servlet Engine may be down, or running on an unexpected host or port.

Please contact your system administrator. "

removing it and things seem to be ok, but we obviously need this templating patch. arent these service packs supported under win2k sp3?

I had the exact same problem that you are describing and asked IW support about it.

the problem was that the webdesk webapp was not installed in the setup process because of some error that came up, so I had to install it manually.

What I had to do was to run this command after the SPs were installed:

iw-home/iw-perl/bin/iwperl iw-home/install/install_webapps.ipl -f -i webdesk

And then reboot the teamsite server.

It worked for me, hope it works for you too..
