get word report instead of an xml one

Hi everybody,

i am using BIRT 2.3.2.1.

When i want to open a .doc exported report, with openoffice 3.0,

i get an xml file.

How can i do to preserve the .doc file.

Hi,

BIRT is only able to create doc files in the Word 2003 xml doc format, so you can't create a real .doc that is understood by Word earlier then 2003.
I m not sure if OpenOffice supports this special (xml) doc format but i looks like it doesn't understand it.
