I want to programmatically create a group for textitem and add dataset to it to populate it dynamically. Kindly provide a code sample.

Rags,

Text items do not have group sections. You can change the grouping of a table using script in beforeFactory or just a script on the group expression. Take a look at this example that groups based on a parameter using a group expression.
