CrossTab rownum

Hi All,

How to use the __rownum feature when working in crosstab? I tried the usual row["__rownum"] in cross tab summary section but it did not work. Please help me.

What is the purpose for obtaining the row number? Maybe I can help.

Basically rownum was required for alternate coloring using the highlight feature. But i found your old post in which u showed the way of using dummy column to generate the rowCount. Thanks a million.

I am really impressed with the response time from u guys. May I ask one more question. I need to add or remove a column based on a particular parameter. Can I do that in simple report or should i use cross tab?

When you say parameter, do you mean an input parameter from a user? Or just using another data value as a parameter?
