Iterate crosstab acording to list element
jmgallon
Hi, is it possible to relate a crosstab wich is inside a List?
I mean, I need the crosstab iterates acording the value of an element in a list.
I have tree lists connected each other, to a better understanding there is an example
List1 (1stElement)
List2 (1stElement)
List3 (1stElement)
--Here comes the crosstab wich i need to iterates acording to the value of list 1, 2 and 3 --
List3 (2ndElement)
--Here the crosstab should show the elements acording to the value of the second element of list3, and first elements of list2 and 3--
List2 (2ndElement)
List3 (1stElement)
--Finally here the crosstab should show the elements acording to the value of first element of list3, second element of list2 and first element of list1--
I saw on other post that it can be done filtering the crosstab but it doesn't produce the result i need, the crosstab always shows the same data without filtering by the values of the lists.
Thanks
Jorge Mario

Hi Jorge Mario,
I cannot run this report without access to your data. Is there any way you can recreate a similar report with the sample database so that I can run the report? Thanks.

H¡ Michael, thanks for the answer.
I try to make something similar with the BIRT samples database but is quite dificult, cause my data are a little bit special and particular so i couldn't represent something for you can run the report.
I hope you can help me in another way.
I post some images about how should looks like the report, how is showing the data and the error message that appears when I try to filter the crosstab by the group of the data cube with the binding column needed. (I have to filter by three columns Break 1, 2 and 3 from the lists according to the crosstab groups).
I reduce the querys to show you in a better and simple way what I need.
In the croostab area the three first columns are the groups of breaks, this should be the same values that lists shows, but i don't need to show them in the crosstab, i'm just showing them to you can see almost everything.
When I saw the post where you said that it can be done by filtering the crosstab I said that's it, but it didn't work, and an error message appears when I try to preview the report.
Then I try to filter by other fields but the result is that the values of the crosstab are repeated on each list iteration.
So I don't know how to filter each crosstab group with the respective values of the lists, from inside to outside.
At the bottom of the report there is another crosstab please don't pay attention to this, it's the previous.
The IdealPreview image shows how the report should looks like if everything is fine.
So Michael I really hope you can help me with this.
Thanks
Jorge Mario

Jorge Mario,
I'll take a look at all the attachments to see if I understand your exact question. Another thing you could do would be to create a .csv file of your data how it is in your dataSet and make a report design with that that I can run.

Michael,
I post 2 files an excel and .txt
I hope it works for you.
Thanks again
Jorge Mario
now i'm doing the report with the flat file, to sent it to you.
jmgallon
Michael,
I sent the .rptdesign with the flat file, and the .txt file
I think that's what you need to run it

Jorge Mario,
It seems to be an issue in 2.2.1. When I run the exact same report in 2.3.2, it works as expected.
jmgallon
Michael, yes it was, I changed my version of the report designer an it worked perfectly.
Thanks for everything
