Replicant in FormApi

I have a replicant in my datacapture form with a maximum of 10. I need to loop through the items using formapi. How can i work out how many items the replicant has?

If i try and call a replicant item that doesnt exist, the jscript fails.

any ideas?

Here is what you can do to loop through the replicant children on the page.
First you need to know how many children are there on the page. You can determine that by the following lines of code.
var RelLinks = new Array();
var RelLinkItem = IWDatacapture.getItem("/RelatedLinks/Link");
RelLinks = RelLinkItem.getChildren();
In my code RelatedLinks is the name of the container and the Link item is a replicant item.

You then need to loop through the children. You can do that with the following lines of code.

for (j=0;i<RelLinks.length;j++)
{
var childItem = RelLinks;
var itemName = childItem.getName(); //Returns the XPath of the item as a string

enter the rest of your code here. I just put in a couple of lines to give you an idea.
}
