Change Datasource / JNDI connections at runtime
birtvirt99
Hi,
I searched a lot but couldnt find - How to change / replace datasource connections from Java at runtime.
I have a Birt rptdesign file created using Designer. The datasource is set using Driver Class, Driver URL, user name, password and JNDI.
The report will be deployed at multiple locations and database URL , JNDI , password will be different. These properties will be provided to Java method as a parameter.
Question : How to change the connection properties of existing data source ?
Specific java code example will help.

Hi birtvirt99,
You can use the property binding tab on the BIRT data source to dynamically construct the database URL and credentials. This means you can use a regular BIRT parameter to control which database to connect to.
