Localization - chinese simplified

Hi

Does anyone have used localization using Chinese simplified characters and output as PDF ?
In the Designer, HTML output works fine but when i run it as PDF , page where the chinese characters should be displayed shows blank (Note: other pages where there is no chinese characters works fine). PDF version is 8.1.0 and i have installed Chinese simplified fonts using Adobe download.

I am using resource property file and text has content key defined in Localization property tab.

Also, i need to change locale from Java. Any working example of the same will be helpful
