Grouping Charts

Hi, 
 
I've been trying to create a set of charts. One for each Group of values which will summarize the data of that group.

I tried to create a table and then a group in that table. 
Then I put the chart in the table in the "Group Footer" band. 
 
The problem is I can't use the aggregation when the Chart is located inside the group footer. It is disabled. 
 
Is there a more "correct" way of doing this?

I've attached an example.

I tried to kinda create the same issue with the sample database.
In the example, if you try to aggregate on the credit limit for people of the same city, you can't since the aggregate button is disabled in the Y Axis Value.

I think I managed to do this.

In "Inherit data from Container" I changed the setting from "Inherit columns and groups" to "Inherit columns only" and then the aggregate was turned on.

I don't exactly understand what it means and why this worked. I would still be grateful for an explanation or a point to a help file/url.

This is a new feature in BIRT 2.5. I'll have to look into the advantages behind this way versus the old way of just inheriting the data from the container and get back to you.

It looks like if you inherit the groups too, that you can inherit the aggregations that you use in your group header and footer. This would keep you from having to do this in the chart, which is why the aggregation button was grayed out for you when that option was selected.
