<item name="Models"">

<cgi-callout label="Model Id..."
url="/iw-bin/Models.ipl"

It is possible to get the selected value from Products from the CGI callout on Models. Actually, when the CGI callout button is clicked, the entire datacapture form and its values are posted to the CGI. So to get the value of Products, for example, just look for the value of the the query string parameter corresponding to Products. In this case, the name would be "Products".
I would encourage using the form api, however. It is cleaner since you can control what is sent to your CGI.

that works.
I will use formAPI as per your suggestion.
Thanx for your suggestion

Is it possible to use the following to browse to a folder (directory) instead of a file.

Browse to Local File

Browse or upload files to TeamSite.

<text size="30" maxlenth="100">
<cgi-callout url="/iw-bin/iw_cgi_wrapper.cgi/upload_callout2.ipl" label="Browse" window-features="width=630,height=450,resizable=yes,toolbar=no,scrollbars=yes"/>
</text>

Probably - I'd imagine one would have to look at the code in upload_callout2.ipl and make changes (or copy it to upload_callout3.ipl and make the changes there).
