Page Break Avoid in 2.5
Ingo
Hi,
I have a litte problem with the reimplemented page-break option avoid. It simply does not work! ;-)
I attachted a simple report-design which shows the problem. I have only four labels in a 1*4 grid, each with a height of 8 cm. I want to prevent a page-break AFTER the second label, so that the first is the only label on the first page. I tried setting the avoid after the second label and before the thrid, but no success (export to Word/ PDF). When I set the page-break of the first label to always it works fine, but I want to avoid any pages when displaying as HTML...
Any solution to my problem? Is it possible that the page-break always option is not regarded in HTML?
Thanks,
Ingo

Hi Ingo,
Is this what you're wanting? For me, this page breaks after the 1st grid cell, the 2nd and 3rd grid cells are on page 2, and the last grid cell is on the last page in PDF. I use no page breaks.

Hi,
thanks for the quick answer.
So the only thing you have changed is the page-break properties for the grid rows, right? Okay I will try that for my other reports...
Interestingly the word output fails this test again...but word is not that necessary. ;-)

Yes, I put the break rules on the grid rows rather than the data element. I see the same thing in the WORD output. You can file a bug for this at <a class='bbc_url' href='

: Reporting Bugs and Requesting Enhancements</a> if you'd like.

Hi Michael,
thanks again. Regarding the WORD behaviour: interestingly the "bug" only occurs on my machine. I just test it on our deployment machine and everything works fine..great! Maybe I should reinstall my system... ;-)
