Few Questions on Actuate
rahulkjha
Hello Members,
Here are few questions if Actuate can accomplish the following:
1. does Actuate have ability to slice-dice? 10:32 AM
2. does it have actual cube architecture i.e. we can do drill up/drill down/slice-dice in the same file? an OLAP kind of architecture? 10:33 AM
3. i have found in case of cross tab report no user interactivity is possible. is it true? 10:34 AM
4. unless we got report studio, do we have an option to add-remove data elements in chart on interactive viewer?
Let me know in case you need me to explain any of the above.
Regards,
Rahul

Hi Rahul,

1. I believe this may be coming in A11 for the interactive viewer. Here is a link to the New Features for Actuate 11 article.

/>
2. I think this is possible on a regular table, but not in a crosstab at this time.

3. Sorting is the only current thing you can do on a crosstab as far as interactivity goes, besides a drill through or something of that nature that you can do in Eclipse BIRT.

4. You can limit the data using filtering with the interactive viewer. You may have to link the chart to a table and filter the table to limit the data, but it is possible.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
