How do I deploy the customized reports I created in BIRT to Maximo v7?

if you have created custom report in BIRT2.1.2 then n then u can deploy it in maximo 7.1<br />
to deploy report go to report administration,select new report and then type report name which you have created like abc.rptdesign. import file from select action.and generate request page and u can preview report.<br />

but if your report is in BIRT 2.3.2 then you should install base services 7.1.1.5<br />

I am using BIRT 2.3.2 under Eclipse 3.4.2 and Maximo 7.2. Are they compatible? I intuitively followed the same procedure you stated and I got a number of errors. It's obvious that there is something simple very wrong. I have used this same report design in eclipse BIRT on my PC with no problem, pointed to the same DB.

With Java, the way to read error messages is somewhat simple even though it gives you about 100 lines of errors. The key is to view the first two lines it gives you, so in your case Look at the following:<br />

A BIRT exception occurred: There are errors evaluating script "row["SITEID"]":<br />

The main error that it is reporting is that the row["SITEID"] doesn't exist and it doesn't know how to handle it. The rest of the stuff is everything else that failed because of this one error. Are you using Scripting to write reports or GUI from BIRT?

SiteID doesn't exist. If you are deploying to Maximo, did you use the IBM classes, or are you connecting with straight JDBC? If you are using the IBM classes, make sure that not only did you put the query in the Open event, but that you defined the fields in your scripted data set.
