Build Birt 2.5 from source

I don't know if this is the right forum for this question. I need to make some changes in the BIRT code for an exception that is being thrown. Has anyone been able to build BIRT 2.5 from the source? I have tried following the instructions at <a class='bbc_url' href='http://wiki.eclipse.org/BIRT/FAQ/Birt_Project#Q:_How_do_I_build_BIRT_2.5.3F'>BIRT/FAQ/Birt Project - Eclipsepedia</a> without much luck. Looks like some build files are missing.<br />

Would like to hear from others on this issue. Any build instructions / help resources would be great.<br />

I am getting the following error while invoking the Jar task from the build file of org.eclipse.birt.data module.

BUILD FAILED
C:eclipse-reporting-galileo-win32workspaceorg.eclipse.birt.dataBuildData.xml:446: The following error occurred while executing this line:
java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:eclipse-reporting-galileo-win32workspaceorg.eclipse.birt.coreBuildCore.xml (The system cannot find the file specified)


There is no BuildCore.xml file in the source that I downloaded from CVS.
