Data Loss in PDF report using HTML data
Prabhat
I have using Birt (with RSA 7.5) to generate PDF report using HTML data. But when HTML data size is small i.e. which can easily fit in one or two pages of PDF, PDF geneartes well. But as i increases the amount of data i.e which will take around 3 to 4 pages, data losses in PDF report. PDF shows some data but at the time of changing pages, data losses.
Should i need to do any configuration to increase any limit as i use only default setting which is provided by Birt.
Please assist.
Thanks in advance..

Hi Prabhat,
Can you explain your issue a little further? Is there any way you can make a simple example that has this problem that I can run so I can see it? Thanks.
Prabhat
Hello,
Yes, sure i can explain. But this problem has been resolved by moving to new BIRT version 2.5.0 from 2.3.1. It was happening when my HTML content is too large which can be accommodate in 3 or 4 page of PDF. then at some pages, data automatically lost and after some lines or paragraph, it starts appearing on next page. But fortunately, it removed when i tried with new version of Birt 2.5.0. Earlier i was using 2.3.1 .
But i am facing a new problem. I am using HTML content with tons of <OL>, <LI> etc. in which there are several lists are designed in side the list. Suppose, there are two <LI> element on <OL>. suppose, data of first <LI> element accommodate of first half of PDF first page but if data inside the second <LI> is not able to fit in rest half of first page, then rest half of first page remains empty, and second <LI> data starts from the next page. Due to which, rest half remains blank , and it does not look good. I want that whatever amount of second list data can be accommodate on rest half of first page, it should appear, and rest should go to next page.
I shall be highly obliged for your support.
With regards,
Prabhat.
