increase a table cell width but failed

Hi there:
I got a very odd question.. In the layout, I was trying to increase the
width of a cell by dragging to the right... it looks perfect in the layout..
however when I preview it, the report still did not reflect my changes...
any ideas?

Hui,
I would assume that doing it the way you were doing it would work as well because it seems to set the width as you drag the column. I suggested what I suggested because I know it worked. What version of BIRT are you using? Maybe it's just an issue with your version.
