Problem with the presentation in the birt viewer
evgeny
Hello and thank you for reading,
I have the following problem:
I created a report with Birt which aggregates some data. The master report displays different regions with the respective number of countries, cities and orders (see attachment "Report_Master.jpg).
With a hyperlink on a region I am opening a detailed report which shows me the names of the countries and the respective number of cities and orders. However, there is a problem with displaying this report in the Birt Viewer. Instead of showing the detailed list of the countries of one region and then continue listing the regions, it distributes the report on 500 pages (this might be related to the 20000 orders which are aggregated here...), and thus the list of the regions is not displayed properly (see attachment "Report_Detail1" and "Report_Detail2").
I also attached the preview-report ("Report_Goal") which is the way I want the report to be displayed.
Thanks for any help
Evgeny

Hi Evgeny,
What version of BIRT are you using? Can you recreate this with the sample database?
evgeny
Hi,
I'm using version 3.2.20.
I'll have a look about recreating it.
Thanks

Evgeny,
It sounds like there is an issue with the detail row still being represented in space even though it's hidden or something like that. I'll know more if you're able to recreate the issue and can see it for myself.

Hi mwilliams,
here is a recreated report.
In the Eclipse - "Preview" it shows like a list on ONE page,
in the web viewer it shows on 10 pages. How can I put it on one page in the web viewer?
Thanks for your help
