What errors are you talking about? Design errors or errors with incorrect parameter entry by users?

Your best bet is probably to create your own parameter page. Then, you can handle parameters however you'd like. Take a look at the following post from the devShare to help you get started.<br />

Because the data in my report is reliant on data from web services, it is possible null pointer exceptions (for instance) can be thrown when accessing objects in the java data set event handlers. Is there any way possible to capture those exceptions and not have an exception stack trace on the web page.
Note: I generate the report on a JSF page using the JSF4Birt integration library.
