CrossTab: how to get "week-of-year" columns without any sort order applied to?
figoro
Hello, All.
I have a report with only one cross tab where columns represent "week-of-year" grouping. Report is done for some date period (not bigger than 1 year), e.g. from 01.09.2009 till 28.02.2010. But when period covers two years then columns are disordered, actually there is ascending sort order and it seems to be like some default. So, as result I've got the following weeks order: 1, 2, 3, ..., 36, 37, ..., 53. As you can see weeks of 2010 year are in the front of list.
I don't use any sort option. How can I get results without any sorting, i.e. something like this: 36, 37, ..., 53, 1, 2, 3, ...?
Thanks in advance.

Hi figoro,
Is including the year as a dimension above the week of year dimension not an option for you? This would solve the issue.

Thank you for answer.
I forgot to say that I had tried grouping by year but it brings another problem. In such case week #53, the last one of year 2009, becomes divided into two ones and I get the following columns: 2009: 36, 37, ..., 53; 2010: 1, 2, 3, ..., 8, 9, 53. First of all, the second part of week #53 is placed in the end of list like it's the last week of year 2010. And the second thing is that report's requirement is not to divide week of year into two parts. If there were an option to avoid dividing then it would be great.
Any more ideas?

figoro,
You could possibly make custom "week of year" and "year" columns and subtract '1' from the year value if the "week of year" is the last week of the past year. Then use these values in the crosstab for the dimensions. I haven't tried this, but based on what you've said, this should work, I would think.

Thanks for your paying attention.
Yes, I've solved that issue by report rewriting to introduce my own 'week of year'.
