Hi there,

I work for a company called Ephox and we produce an editor called EditLive! for Java which can be used on Mac OS X. We have an integration with TeamSite templating available. For more information on EditLive! for Java please look at www.ephox.com.

I tried running the demo on your page on my PowerBook with MacOS-X 10.2.6 and see:
The minimum operating system required to run EditLive! for Java on Apple Macintosh is MacOS X Update 10.1.1. Please upgrade your operating system before trying to run EditLive! for Java.

This system does not meet the minimum requirements to run EditLive! for Java. Now using a textarea instead.

The above occurs with both Mozilla 1.4 and Safari Beta 2.

It does appear to work with IE 5.2 though...

Unfortunately there are some problems with the implementation of LiveConnect with Mozilla 1.4 which prevent EditLive! for Java from running. Safari support looks more promising however there are one of two issues with the Java 1.4 and LiveConnect that Safari uses. Support for Safari is currently being examined, however, since Safari is not yet an offically supported product from Apple we are waiting for the final release before releasing an offically supported version of EditLive! for Java which runs on Safari. If you contact support@ephox.com there is a BETA of EditLive! for Java available with Safari support available.

With all this said, EditLive! for Java will run fine on IE for Mac. The error you encountered was due to unsupported browsers not an unsupported OS.

Hello,

Has anyone successfully implemented EditLive! for TeamSite Templating? We use the Ektron VFE quite extensively, which apparently is not supported on the Mac. Therefore, I'd like to evaluate alternatives. Our Macintosh users range between OS 9.x to 10.x. Any tidbits of information would be appreciated.
