How to get records in dataset which doesn't matches criteria ?
ganesh1984
Hi All,
I am using BIRT 2.3.2 for creating reports in my application. I am using hibernate datasource to fire query(HQL). Everything is working fine, but now i got new requirement. My report has two parameters 'from date' and 'to date'. user has to enter them to get the report.
We will get the records which falls between the 'from date' and 'to date'.
for eg: assume we have three records in table with date value '2009-08-05' , '2009-08-06' and '2009-08-07' respectively. if i enter '2009-08-01' and '2009-08-10' , i am getting three records. this is correct.
Now i should also get records with in the entered dates but which doesn't has records.
Now for above example i should get 10 records with three records having values and other seven with 0 values in respective columns
Is there any way of doing so in BIRT?.
please reply soon..
regards,
ganesh

Sounds to me like something you should control with your query. However, if for some reason you cannot, you can always create a much larger query and apply data set filters to get just the data you want.
