computed column problem

hi all,

I have a query result set like this


school caste student avg

ABC General 10 76
ABC OBC 20 86
ABC Other 10 77
XYZ General 10 66
XYZ OBC 10 45
XYZ Other 20 46


now i want to add 2 computed column total_student and total_avg
like this

school caste student avg Total_student Total_avg

ABC General 10 76 40 81.25
ABC OBC 20 86 40 81.25
ABC Other 10 77 40 81.25
XYZ General 10 66 50 55.20
XYZ OBC 20 45 50 55.20
XYZ Other 20 60 50 55.20


here
total_student stand for sum(general+OBC+Other) for each school
total_avg stand for (10*76+20*86+10*77)/40 or (10*66+20*45+20*60)/50


how would i do this ,please tell me soon.

Hi Sandeep,

Depending on how your report is set up, you can probably achieve this with grouping on a table in your report with aggregations.
