first page footer
magic_bern
Hi All,
I have written my first birt report and added a page footer on the master page. However i am unable to stop that footer from appearing on the first page. I only get the tickbox for showing it on the last page, which incidently doean't seem to do anything because the footer is shown whether i tick the box or not.
Can anybody help?
Cheers

Hi magic_bern,

All headers and footers are only created once. They are just re-displayed each time. This won't allow you to change whether something appears on one page and not on another. To do something like this, you'll probably have to create an interval group that will allow enough lines to fit on a page and then page break. This will put a new group footer at the bottom of the page each time that you can customize with visibility. Hope this helps.
You can always suggest this as an enhancement at BIRT
: Reporting Bugs and Requesting Enhancements.

If you want your master page to change on some element of the report, like the beginning of a table, or after a certain grid or label, then make multiple master pages (in the report outline) and assign the masterpage on the components page break property. An example is enclosed that works with BIRT 2.3.2.

If you could post the enhancement request info in here, that'd be great for future reference purposes. Thanks.
