Stop a scheduled deployment temporarily
nk_sc
Hi!!
We have 2 scheduled deployments : one that runs on a half-hourly basis and the other that runs once a day. Both deployments work on the same set of files, so we wouldn't want the deployments to clash.
How do we make the deployment (the one that runs every 30 mins) stall for about an hour so that we make sure that the deployment scheduled for once a day finshes??
thanks!!

What's wrong with the deployments running at the same time?

Thats because one script deploys files to a location using the file list and the other deletes some folders from the SAME location and then deploys the files.....

That ones easy..
Use a DNR
(when="before")
to call a script that
Removes
the 30min schedule deployment when you run the daily deployment
(iwodscheddelete)
.
Use a DNR
(when="after")
to call a script that
Adds
the 30min schedule deployment back
(iwodschedadd)
.
As for actuly trying to stop a deployment in the middle I don't think is possible with 5.5.1 but could be possible in release 5.6 in Marchish

Even better (I think) - use iwodschedactivate with the '-d' flag to deactivate and the '-a' flag to activate a regularly scheduled job.
