opendeploy failing
fuzzy
I am using od 5.5.1 with sp2 and all needed patches on solaris 7 for base and 8 for receiver.
when I run the same deployment it sometime fails after the second or third time (I issue the same deployment and get the following message in the log
ERROR: IWDirent(IW_OPEN,/digitalservice/icommerce/src/deploy/config/stagingconfig/mip) - err=2, errno=2
ERROR: Destination directory(./config/stagingconfig/mip) not valid..
ERROR: Failed deploying local_directory[0] (/default/main/www/dynamo/uat/short/EDITION/ed_0013/live) to (/digitalservice/icommerce/src/deploy)
ERROR: Failed 1 of 1 local_directories )
the directories are there and they initially do get deployed.
I found a knowledgebase article saying that solaris patches are required for opendeploy 5.5.1 and jre 1.3.1. (article 49656)
Is JRE 1.3.1 required for opendeploy 5.5.1?
regards
Fuzzy

Please post, as an attachment, the deployment configuration file - it might lend a clue as to the cause.

I have split my configuration file from one to 4 different ones and invoke it three times as opposed to once and it does no longer fail sporatically.
I am guessing the problem is the way opendeploy process the config file when there are more than one deployment source and target and also dnrs.
I am hopping that this would be fixed in OD 5.6 and then I could group my deployment configs to one. (different editions from different branches getting deployed to different locations on different servers

Please open a case with Interwoven Support for this - going just on what you've described (without seeing your configuration file) it sounds like this should work. If it doesn't it should be tracked so that it can be tested with future releases.
