SSL Deploy Fail

I am using Opendeploy 5.5.1 and have been trying to get SSL work. The same config with out SSL works fine. It fails to connect after adding SSL configs.

I get the following error
ENG: 2003-06-17 14:16:41 PDT GMT-07:00 Thread-73 ***ERROR - Job ID=m15Deployment=test3
Base: failed connecting to host='target_host', port number='20014'

Can any one guide.

You need to configure the SSL settings in both the deployment configuration file and the receviers server configuration file (generally odrcvr.xml)

You also need to make sure you generate all the required SSL files for both the sender and receiver sides and have them located accordingly.

You then need to make sure you restart the receiver process (after you've made the config changes).

There's a KB on the support site 48700 which is essentially documentation that I believe has since been added to the OpenDeploy manuals - you might want to take a look at that too.

I am deploying to the localhost for test. The Admin manual and Article 48700 does not mention configuration details on receiver end (ssl). Can you give me an example of receiver config.

If you're doing a loopback test - the server you need to configure is the odbase.xml (as opposed to the odrcvr.xml) and the deployment configuration file - and you have to restart the base server before the changes you make in the server configuration take effect.

As for the manual - what version of OpenDeploy are you using? What version of the manual are you looking at? The OpenDeploy 5.6 manual has a fairly large section devoted to SSL deployments, including a section (starting on page 306) entitled "Configuring OpenDeploy for SSL Data Transfer Encryption"
