Add a column on cross tab
ayyalaraj
Hi,
I am trying to add one more column called average to the cross tab report after Grand Total. Is it possible to do this? Could anybody know how to do it? If it is not possible with cross tab, can I do the same report as shown in rptdesign file attached (application_analysis_daily_sampledb.rptdesign)with sample db. using table? I want to show the average and if average is below bench mark, I need to show with image and if it is above, with another image.
Any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks,
sekhar

Sekhar,
You could always put another data element in the grand total column and make it inline in the advanced settings in the property editor. You may have to do some tweaking to get the look that you want though. Let me know if you have questions.

Another way to do this is by adding additional measures or derived measures to the cross tab. For each measure you can add a grand total column. You can then delete the column binding in the grand total column and put in your own data element. If you don't want to see the measures that you added, you can make the column width 0. A bit of an awkward workaround, but you should achieve the look you need.

how can i add new measures

You need to add the measures in the cube first. These could be derived measures so that you get the correct values such as average or a ratio between two other measures.

You then drag them into the column area. By doing this you will be able to add them to the totals. They will of course show in your crosstab table as well, so to hide them there you simply set the column width to 0 for those measures that you don't want to see in the table.
