BIRT Export Data Hide Available Columns

Is there a way to hide some of the columns in the Available Columns list when trying to export data from a BIRT report?

I know the BirtSimpleExportDataDialog.js can be modified to do this, but is there a way in the designer to specifiy which columns show up in the Available Columns data export?

I would also like to be able to limit the available result sets drop down in the Export data dialog

I am using BIRT 2.5;

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
