Question to scripting data sources / data sets

Hi,

in my report I run Java-Methods over birt scripting.

How can I realize following:
A java-method should executed only once on the beginning of the report viewing. (it is the login to a database)
And on the end of the report (disconnect of the database)

And in which script i have to write that?
(datasource: beforeOpen, beforeClose.....
dataset: afterOpen, beforeClose....)
Are there other possiblities?

I need a script which will run on the beginning of the report and another script before the report will be finished, independent of data source, data set,...

It would be a pleasure if somebody has an idea.
