Maven integration for Birt
ErikErik
How is it possible that the Birt artefacts not deployed to the Maven central repositories?
Maven is used in more than 32% of the Java projects and its popularity is growing very fast.
If Birt would be in the Maven central repositories, it would take just a few mouseclicks for me to integrate it in my application. To integrate it manually is a pain and could really be an argument for not using it.

Hi ErikErik,
Have you brought this up with the Maven folks? I would guess it'd be up to them to include BIRT.
ErikErik
This is not up to the Maven folks. This is up to the Birt development team.
The dependencies of a certain piece of software (artefact) are best known by the developers. The Birt development team can define the pom.xml and then add the Birt artefacts to the Maven Central Repositories or to their own Maven Public Repository.

ErikErik,
I believe there have been discussions of this, but I don't know where those discussions are at.
