hide the subtotals in crosstab

Is there a way to hide the subtotals in a crosstab and not have the extra lines appear when exporting to excel? Thanks.

sure....I need to modify the crosstab in an existing report and add 2 new columns. Project type and project id. We need these 2 columns to appear once while the other columns in the report can appear for each month that is why I added them to the group by section of the crosstab. The problem is that now with the addition of these 2 new fields we now have a subtotal for these new fields as well. We dont want these new subtotals so I have change the fonts to transparent and have adjusted the height of the rows. It looks ok in the report but when you export to excel, there are new rows ( 1 for each new field). We dont want these new subtotals. Is there a way to remove them so that the export doesnt show them? Thanks in advance.

Is there any way you can reproduce something similar with the sample database or with a flat file of data so that I can see exactly what you're seeing? Thanks.
