Placing multiple components in a single line

Hi,

I want to know whether we can add more than 1 components in a single line in a report.

e.g
1) My report is a blank template initially.

2) I added one label in the first line

3) Now i want to add a text block next to the label. But it gets placed in the next line by default.

Is it possible to add components in the desired co ordinate?

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Ganesh,

Depending on your setup, you could make the items in your report "inline" in the advanced properties in the property editor, or you can simply use a grid with multiple columns, place the label in the first cell and the other report item in the next cell.

I am just curious can we do drag, drop and then re-size the items in the chart in a freehand way. Something like in Visual Basic.

Now we have to place the item. Make it inline if we want to place it in the same line. And then we have to go the property editors to re-size in case of label, text etc .

I would suggest using the grid if making the item inline is an issue. You can then just drag and drop the items into the grid cells. To resize items in the chart, you'll need to use the editor or script.
