PDF fromat save problem

hi all,

I have a report name task.rptdesign
onclick i open it in PDf format , it opens correctly in PDF format.

problem is that when i open and save somewhere than it save without extension(PDf) like `task`.

so please tell me what is the problem.

Hi sandeep,

I have not heard of this issue before. After you've ran the report successfully to PDF from BIRT to whatever PDF viewer you have on your computer, when you try to save, it doesn't save correctly? Is this correct? Let me know. Also, what version of BIRT and what PDF viewer are you using?

when i run birt report in PDf format, it opens correctly if i directly choose open with . but the problem occur when choose option save not directly open then
birt report save without extension(PDF).
example if name of my birt report is `task.rptdesign` and i run this report
and i choose option save than it save without extension(.pdf), it save as
`task` , it should save as `task.pdf`.

I am using version birt 2.3 and Adobe Reader 7.0.5

I just tried in 2.3.2.2. I ran it in the viewer and exported the report to PDF. I chose the save option. The popup came up that asked me where I wanted to save it and the file name was fileName.pdf. Do you just see "task" in that box when you're choosing where to save it?
