Hi Vaishnavi,
Can you explain your issue in more detail? What are you trying to achieve? and why?
vaishnavi
Hi,
Actually the report which i'm deploying on Tomcat server having more than 1000 rows so its taking alot of time to run,Through report level I can restrict that 1000 rows and I can run the same report for 500 row... It works fine..but my problem is can we set the same rows(500rows)through server level?

Vaishnavi,
If you're using the viewer, you can set the variable BIRT_VIEWER_MAX_ROWS in the web.xml.

Vaishnavi,
Do you have the runtime viewer example deployed to your Tomcat server? If so, you can set this value in your web.xml.
vaishnavi
Hi,
Yes,but the variable BIRT_VIEWER_MAX_ROWS is already there in web.xml file.How to set the limit value for that variable?

Vaishnavi,
Yes, set the value to 500, like you're wanting. Let me know.

Hi Michael,
Thanks for your quick response...
Is this a right way to set the variable like: BIRT_VIEWER_MAX_ROWS=500 in the web.xml. or is there some other way to do that?

Vaishnavi

Vaishnavi,
It would look like the following in your web.xml:
<context-param>
<param-name>BIRT_VIEWER_MAX_ROWS</param-name>
<param-value>500</param-value>
</context-param>

Thanks Michael,
It works fine...!!!
