You can set up individual tasks as groups tasks, but I am not certain if this is what you are asking. If so, RTFM on grouptask

If not, be more specific on what you are trying to do ?

If you mean being able to specify an OS group restriction in the available_templates.cfg, I believe there is an open feature request on this (contact Support to find out, if there's isn't one you can ask to open one for it).

A number of customers have made non-supported modifications to available_templates.ipl to support this kind of functionality.

I have designed a workflow that includes a user task based on the autor role using workflow builder, when i publish it to the server i get an option of whihc users i want to configure this workflow for. This list gives me a list of users but i dont see any user group in that list. is there a possbility of configuring that workflow for a group of users from workflow builder or programatically

The option of which users, in which roles, to configure the workflow for is what I was talking about - that's the information used in the <user_list> and <role_list> (respectively, but configured in the oposite order) information in the available_templates.cfg.

As mentioned, out of the box, available_templates.cfg does *not* support OS-group delimiting for who can initiate a workflow - that currently can only be done by making non-supported modifications to the available_templates.ipl script and hand-editing the available_templates.cfg file in accordance with those modifications.

There is at least one feature request (24966) entered for this functionality to be added to the workflow system - please feel free to contact Interwoven Support to ask to have your company registered as being interested in this feature.
