Reset Pagenumber

Dear Birt Experts

I want to display page number in Master page to recount page number for group data set. For ex: Page 1 of 5 for one group and Page 1 of 10 for next group , continues.....

Please give the solution as soon as possible.

Hi Watto,

If you're using BIRT 2.5.x, you should be able to use a "Variable" that you can control the value of yourself.

If you use a page variable how can you still get the accurate page count and also reset the variable for each group (is this possible)?

Eg. Page 1 of 5 in first group, page 1 of 10 in second group, etc...where the page count is from the detail page breaking and not from the count of the number of records displayed.

You would have to figure the pages for the group on your own based on the group count and the fixed value of rows per page you selected.
