Crosstab Spacing Issue
Evenstar
Hi,
I'm a new user of BIRT and I'm constructing a report with a mix of texts, tables, and crosstabs. My crosstab reads and displays a dataset which can potentially vary in terms of the number of rows. However when it has many rows the data overlaps with whatever is below the crosstab. In other words, the items below the crosstab don't get "pushed down". Any solutions?
I'm wondering if this is a unique problem for crosstabs, since in my report I have tables and texts that can also potentially vary in length but they never have the overlapping problem.
Thanks!

Hi Evenstar,
I have not heard of an issue like this before. Is there any way you can post a screenshot of this? Better yet, if you could recreate this issue with the sample database, that'd be great. What version of BIRT are you using?

Hi Michael,
The overlapping issue occurred only if I tried to view the report as DOC. Every other viewing method showed the correct format. Also, the crosstab table was initially part of another table, and when I pulled it out of that table, everything worked fine. So I guess it's solved for now, although I still don't know the root cause of it.
Thanks for reaching out!

Evenstar,
Glad it's working as of now. Let us know whenever you have questions. Good luck!
