Masking critical data

Hi,

In my reports I need to hide partially critical information like account number, card number etc based on a report parameter whcih decides how many characters should be hidden.

For eg: if account number is 1234567 I may need to show the value like ****567

Please let me know where should be the right place to manipulate this data.

Also if anybody has a script to do similar data masking please share the same...

Hi Manilal,

You could create a computed column in your dataSet that masks the correct number of digits based on the parameter.
