How to throw javascript exception?

Hi, 
 
On datasource event I try to throw exception and stop generating report. Exception appears but with confusing description. It seems report continues in generating. 
 
in event my code is: 
<pre class='_prettyXprint _lang-auto _linenums:0'>throw new Error("myError");</pre>
 
How to stop generating report and show my exception?
