set privileges on generated files
dianbo
I created a job in iServer (a10 sp1) and set its output folder is /test/{yyyy}, then i added privileges VRE to a user Tom.
After the job has been completed, i login acadmin as Tom, but i can not see the generated reports. i know that is because Tom has no privilege to access folder /test/2009.
But, the folders like {yyyy} and {mm} are created automatically, need i add privileges to them manually in time or create them ahead.
Or any other way to make a user own privileges of those new generated folders.
Thanks,
Dianbo

Hi Dianbo,
If you use management console to schedule the job you could set up privileges on the generated output document to share with any specific user or a role.

Hi Ashwini,

Yes, the generated output document can be shared. but for the output /test/{yyyy}, generated folder /test/2009 is not shared. Need I add privilege on /test/2009 manualy or any other ways?
Thanks,
Hi Dianbo,
Privileges to the container folder is not required in order to view the report. However if you need to provide navigation to this file in Information Console you will need to provide at least "View" permission to the folder. You can do this manually or define a privilege template for the user that is scheduling the report generation. All the files and folders created by this user will assume the privileges as defined in this template by default. You could define privilege template for each user using management console.
