example of fontsConfig.XML

Hi,

I want to use the font Script , and when i preview the report as html or xls it runs ok, but in pdf not.

How do i configure fontsConfig.XML or fontConfig_pdf.xml ?

Any example ?

windows xp and birt 2.3.2 designer.

Hey Pico,

I read your post and tried the "Script" font as well. Same results. After a little investigating, I found several other fonts that don't render in pdf mode. I believe it's because they aren't true type fonts. The "Script" font and all the others that wouldn't render weren't true type. All the ones that did render were true type or open type fonts. Maybe that's why.

Here's a suggestion though:

If you want scripted text try the font
Script MT Bold - it's a little heavier text but it renders in html and pdf

Hi Pico,

Actuate provides quite a detailed description of the BIRT font configuration files in their document “Using Actuate BIRT”, section “Configuring fonts in Actuate Java Components”. Do you have that document?

JustME is right – only TTF fonts are supported.
