Updating BIRT Library

Hi all,

I have a BIRT library which is currently being used in multiple reports.

Whenever I make any change to the library, even if it's a single line, the saving takes plenty of time(Around 20-30 minutes).

Is this behavior fine or is there something wrong in the way I configured the library? I once tried to break saving process in between, but ended up with a corrupt library, thus corrupt reports.

Is there any idea which I can try to save up some time as I frequently need to make some changes and waiting 20 mins for each would be too much time.

I have not seen this behavior and you should report it at <a class='bbc_url' href='http://www.birt-exchange.org/bug-reporting/'>Report Bugs - BIRT Exchange</a>. How big is this library file size and about how many things like data set, report items, images, etc do you have inside? ... and what version of BIRT are you using?

Thanks for the quick reply.

The library is not that big. Size is less than 2 MB, but it does have around 85 data sets. I do not make the change to all of them at once..
Even if the update is in one of those, the time taken is the same.. atleast 20-30 minutes..

Make sure to report those details as a bug as this is not any behaviour that I have ever seen.
