Excel multi sheets...

Hi,

Anyone knows if the BIRT will support multi sheets and images in the upcoming releases? I tried Tribix.. in general, I think it is great but there are also a lot of issues. I had a report which was rendered great with the default excel emitter but Tribix threw a lot of warnings with overlapping coordinates and eventually wasn't able to render the report (empty cells) and too many paddings (resulting in empty columns). I had to remove all the paddings and margins from the table, masterpage, etc but still some unknown paddings (empty columns or weird merged cells) rendered. Also the row height was strangely rendered as well.
I heard somebody was trying to use poi and merge sheets into one book. Had anyone made a success with it? Any other workarounds people attempted? Thanks

I think I had heard there was talk of adding multiple sheets feature in Actuate's commercial version of BIRT. I'm not sure about open source BIRT. If I find any more info on this, I'll let you know.<br />

You could always request an enhancement for this feature and see what they say.<br />
