birt-viewer PDF Font Problem (TTF)

Salaam,


During design phase, I have set a label and a data with an arabic font.
Then I placed the rptdesign file into the report directory and run the birt-viewer.

In html view, the arabic font is displayed alright.
In pdf view however, arabic text is displayed correctly but not that specific font.

For another font, the matter is worse: even html doesn't show.
For Japanese fonts, no problem neither in html nor pdf.

I have installed the arabic fonts in the Windows/Fonts folder, restarted tomcat before trying. I didn't restart windows.
I also set a directory C:/tmp where I placed the fonts, then added it to the fonts-paths in fontsConfig_pdf.xml ; but no effect.

To my knowledge, no clear answer in the birt forums.
I am new to this technology... Please teach me.
