scale tab within map element

Hi,

Is there any information on how to use the scale tab within the map element?

I want to parameterize the scale for the map, so that the user can select the scale for the map to appear on a report. Is it possible in BIRT RCP Designer version 2.2.1?

It's the scale element within the spatial tab for a map in property editor mode.

Hi Chris,

Can you give me more details? I just can't find any 'scale elements' or 'spatial tabs' either? Are you in a chart? ...a data element or table? Can you give me a screenshot and how you got to these things?

If you are talking about the MAP properties, then many of these things can be expressions that come from parameters, just let me know more details.

Hi Chris, that looks really cool but I've never seen a map element. Where did you get that version of BIRT?... was it included with another software package? I will say that BIRT 2.2.1 is getting a bit old now that BIRT 2.5 is out.
