iwmnt

I am having problems doing a CD past iwmnt. I can get to iwmnt, but when I try to CD after that (i.e. default), the terminal simply hangs. Anyone know why this is happening. We are on a Solaris 7 (with recommened patches installed)

sounds like an stale NFS handle

from command line:
df -k

This will give you filesystem information. you should see listing for /local, /.iwmnt and /iwmnt with disk space etc. If there is an NFS problem you will see message at bottom stating that there are stale NFS file handles. I have also had the df -k command hang when there is a problem. (command prompt not returning)

Also try running: iwstat -c
Verify that the server is up and running normally.
