JSAPI performance

Hi,

I have a question regarding JSAPI performance and the BIRT interactive viewer.

We have a simple page that integrates reports with our existing web application. If this page uses the JSAPI (exactly as stated in the documentation) the load time is huge.

The same report will load instantly when accessed from the BIRT interactive viewer within the deployment kit. It will also load instantly if the integration page just re-directs to the viewer.

The re-direction isn't a suitable solution for us as we have parameters thatwe need to pass to the viewer from the application, which is what attracted us to the JSAPI.

Has anyone else seen such performance issues? Or is this, potentially, an environment problem?

Hi Andy,
I have not seen any performance issues like what you mention. Can you post your code?

Are you using any type of profiling tool to see what request it consuming the time?
